Well, I got my toe fixed, sort of?

So, I had my podiatrist appointment yesterday and I guess it went well. He started me out with four of these!

Ok, maybe they weren't quite that big, but I did have four of them. On a positive note, he did use some sort of cold spray stuff to temporarily freeze the toe while injecting the medication. Actually there was very little pain involved in these shots. After waiting about ten minutes I couldn't feel my toe at all! This is a very strange sensation and it caused me to laugh when they started working on the toe. (All I could feel was my foot being jerked around) Anyway, right after the doctor visit, I had less pain then I had felt in a long time. I did get a rather large bandage,

My bandage was purple, but I didn't get a picture of it!
The doctor told me that the deadening would last about ten hours or so, I found out that it lasted about four, after this, THE PAIN!!!!!! I will spare you the gory details, but I was unable to go in to work today because I can't stand up for longer than about five minutes before my toe feels as though it is going to explode! Anyway, I am praying that I will feel well enough to go back to work tomorrow. I do think that in the long run I will be thankful that I got this taken care of, but for now I just wish it didn't hurt so bad! I was trying to remember what kind of tools the doctor used on my foot and I have provided pictures which, to the best of my recollection, illustrate what was done to my toe!

I have to say, I am glad I went to a specialist, because I can't even imagine what a regular doctor would have used!

Oh, one last thing, apparently having my toe worked on has also caused a little swelling of my head.

Wow, Iam glad that I went to Old Navy while you were in there getting your toe worked on. I think that the chain saw would have scared me. It is nice having you home on an off night though.

Man! Sounds like some pretty bad stuff. Or should I say LOOKS like some pretty bad stuff. I'm not so sure what I think about there being a picture of your foot on your blog, but oh well. Hope that head swelling goes down soon! Oh, and that your toe gets better too. :)

Nice! I think your neck has more swelling than you head. I don't think Neil would have lasted past the big needle. So Congrats on not freakin out and running like a chicken!

Man I knew you had a big head, but WOW! I never realized the hugeness of it. You poor guy. But I'm really glad you got your toe taken care of, even if you should have done it months ago.

And I just realized what Tabitha is talking about. Man I'm smart. I'm thinking foot=dentist. What the heck. And then I started to ask you about getting your teeth fixed. Lightbulb!
Later on brother.

Sorry about your foot. Jason had the same thing done, and I don't know from experience but it seemed like he was in much pain. Time for a pink template.

One of the nurses I work with wanted to know if you hire your computer services out. I could hav gotten a hold of some of the cold spray stuff and then with your chainsawAnd a few other things....ie.winch, crowbar, soldering iron, I think we could have just ripped the whole nail out. Heck, it might work for the teeth thing too so let me know if you need some help.

Your color scheme is kinda freaking me out. If Emily is gonna have those kind of colors, you best not get mad at me for maybe working with her a bit.

Awww, in honor of Emily. How sweet! I like the colors! :)

Maybe I was a little harsh. Whatever Emily likes will be fine with me.

Oh,Zachary...my heart goes out to you. I had surgery on one foot some years ago. Had to have 2 toes broken and reset to correct hammertoes! So I can really empathize with what you are going through. But when it got well, I was so glad I had it done. Hope you can say the same in a few weeks!! We love you, and loved being with you in NV. Next time, let's meet here....it's only 7 more hours drive...just a thought!!
Happy Thanksgiviing. Love, COG

Hey I have all those tools I could have done the procedure for half the cost. You know I am always there for you. The novicane would have been a problem but I could have used some B-12 and you would have been out. Glad you're ok.

Sweet deal, Did you take too much pain medication before you changed your blog? I saw an anvil like that get dropped on some guys foot in welding. His foot exploded like a grape. I should knock out some of my teeth to get some girls phone number.
